i just love the way driver puts things :P
‘Holding up book stores’ :lol2: I guess that’s how Mordred get’s all his romance novels(I was in fact wondering how he acquired them -did he order them or go buy them-apparently neither.)
Well, now it has to be one of them, if Wiglaf won’t let him hold up bookstores anymore. :P You may therefore continue wondering.
Mordred gets Wiglaf to go buy them for him of course, a couple of pages has him telling Wiglaf to go get them
I had been wondering about how he got them before he met Wiglaf, since there was a page where he told Wiglaf to go pick up the next book in the series he was reading.
Wiglaf’s hand in the first panel is love <3
So is Lance's plant :)
“I mean. We used ta’ do normal things all tha’ time. Tryin’ ta’ rob banks an’ holdin’ up bookstores. None of tha’ anymore thanks ta’ Sugar. ‘e’s bein’ ‘eld back from ‘is dang potential…”
The real victims are all those employees, business owners and innocent bystanders who haven’t been robbed, assaulted, murdered, terrorized and inconvenienced. They’re missing out on having their days, months, weeks, businesses, relationships and lives broken, messed up or ended.
So according to driver they were successful on holding up bookstores but the bank thing didn’t pan out. There is a world of difference between trying to do something and actually doing it.
Besides, why bother robbing a bank that your dad most likely has a controlling interest in?
Being world Despot and all that.
It has never really been explained how much the Garrott family controls, how it does it exactly, and what taxes or administrative responsibilities come with that. I somehow doubt people this vicious and sociopathic have managed to become the legitimate government of any place worth noting.
Good point but I don’t thing the word “legitimate” is anywhere in the Garrott family lexicon. :D
Excellent hand in panel one, and something about the body language communicates extra levels in panels four and five. Great work, Liliy.
“It’ll die on its own in five minutes.” …self-defense plant? The next step in mace, using the actual spice to ward off attackers?
Maybe the plant becomes very sad after five minutes and commits plantsuicide. Or terrorism. :argh:
XD You’re probably right, regarding terrorism. In five minutes, it grows large enough to contemplate eating Tokyo,at which point Uncle Sam cals for a Tomcat airstrike.
So fanciful, I’d guess it’s something he tweaked from being an annual into a five-minute-al variety on the way to making it a useful method of attack and defense outside of his lair in unforeseen circumstances.
It is an egg-plant! :p
Lancelot’s plant reminds me of Audrey Jr.(the man-eating Venus flytrap/Butterwort hybrid) from The Little Shop of Horrors (I’ve never seen it though).
Or a Super Mario piranha plant.
So, I wonder if Mordred has an e-reader (like the Nook, or the Kindle). Naturally not one of the iJobs, seeing that those are backlit and thus cause eyestrain.
Besides. iJobs is too evil even for Mordred’s family. =^-^=
Rob H.
The thought of Wiglaf blocking Mordred’s conventional evil activities on a daily basis is too funny. XD It’s also a good thing that Wiglaf moves so fast or Mordred could have been badly hit with that orb.
Heh heh, just a little water from the washing was enough to trigger the growth of one of Lancelot’s overpowered seeds. XD
