I think Mordred is pretty sane. Probably the only member of the main cast who is though.
Wiglaf always seems sane to me. Maybe not always connected to the world around him, but perfectly sane within the parameters of his own experience…
Mordred is, above all else, *cynical*. His cynicism gives him a decently large window to see reality through all of the crazy that surrounds him.

Personally I liked it better without him trembling. Maybe he enjoyed doing it so much that whatever disorder results in his trembling didn’t effect him for a moment. I actually thought it was intentional. Oh well, you are the artist and I am but a humble viewer.
I agree with Will – I kind of saw it as ‘the neuroses has abated with potential carnage on the scene’…
