His Chest Is Distracting That Way

I’m sorry….Azrael Beefcake demanded to be made fun of. And Generic. *pokes his cheeks*

That and Azzie really does look like a girl most days. Curse my inability to draw manly men. T_T

Which is why I’m glad you all forgive that daily. Yay!!! XD

There’s nothing to forgive, i’m pretty sure those that read love your characters the way they are…and you should have heard me and my roommate when we saw today’s comic! (=^.^=) Love the way Gen’s blushing in panel 3!…though how is he still standing? has he just gotten so used to the abuse of being Azzie’s friend that being squished between a wall and a fridge is nothing?…Svafa forgetting is to be expected (=^.^=) poor girl so easily distracteced by Azzie, too bad her sister isn’t there to see it!

He can walk off being stabbed repeatedly by a psychotic sword (mental note: “psychotic sword” would make an awesome band name…), So I think generic can shrug off mere squishing by household appliances. I would be trying to avoid any more references to theft if I was generic now. Too many hostile houseguests. (mental note: “hostile houseguest”…)

Rockin’ yours,
Para

Just because he doesn’t have chest hair doesn’t mean he looks like a girl. Tsk, there’s plenty of guys without chest hair. Most of them are pre-pubescent, but there’s still… =^-^=

Oh my. If Generic was keeping any of his prizes (say, a hefty chunk of DNA/RNA-viable woolly mammoth) stable in that refrigerator, it’s now gone.

Of course, this obliterates the possibility of a “fridge monster” developing in Gen’s house.

Or starts it. You know that all the refrigerators in New Orleans had to be thrown out after the extended blackout from hurricane Katrina, right? That was because without power everything in them became super nasty and ate into the plastic insides.

Good point. If Gen sends the appliance part’n'parcel to the tip, or to the recycling center, it could come back to haunt him, you’re right.

Well, it all depends on what joke Liliy plans next anyway. I’m good enough that I can predict some things but I’m not stalking her or anything.

The Fridge Monster is more along “Doc” Nickel’s lines, likely. Unless “The Whiteboard” and TAWM/WAM ever do a crossover (admittedly possible, given “Polarbear Punch!”), for my part I don’t expect a Fridge Monster from Liliy.

Though the advent of a Fridge Monster would certainly make it easier for Azrael to find a new job: he could start competing with Wiglaf in the hero arena. Until Grace tormented the impulse out of Azrael, at least.

Care to weigh in on this, oh word-of-god?

Doubtful on the fridge monster.

I have played with the idea of Hero!Azrael before. Not sure if I’m going there, but that one was considered. If only because it would royally piss off Wiglaf. XD

Whoa! If Gen and Lance worked together….Mutant woolly mammoth vines!!! :omg:

That’s a scary idea: a plant with aspirations to take over the world, and goes on rampaging stampedes if it doesn’t get its way. :omg:

Isn’t that a Monsanto contract with DARPA or some other part of the USDoD by now?

Reply

*Snrk!* You leave DARPA out of this! Now, IARPA, on the other hand, might be able to use it. What better way to extract whatever info the Russians, Cubans, and Chinese are pumping out of the U.S. than by vine? And after the destruction that happens with the first few emergency extractions, R., C., and C. will be too scared to peek, lest they inadvertently compromise a mammoth vine.

From some of the comments over the course of this commic, I think that all the girly men is what attracts a majority of your readers. That and the girly girls…

Reply

I wouldn’t be surprised. But I’ve been told Arthur Garrott Sr. & Driver’s Pa are manly. I think it’s the beard/stubble, respectively. XD

Pretty boys but at least they don’t look completely feminine.
It’s a defect of the Japanese animated cartoon style that males either end up super-deformed caricatures of masculinity or not looking masculine at all until you put in a lot of detail (and maybe not even then). So yeah, well, all you have to do to fix that issue is a few years of anatomy drawing and learning two or three other styles of cartooning.
I’m not gonna cry foul over not putting in that amount of work for a hobby, and anybody who does more than point it out is being a jerk.

Well, society itself is leaning more towards males that look feminine as Hansome. Take skater boys, ninjas, or Justin Bieber for example, cowboys, firemen and police aren’t as “interesting” as those. :*( Beards and the like are considered vulgar and so almost all the guys shave. Mustaches though…. O_o

Mustaches… like The Village People?

I dunno, put me down as a supporter of the Telly Savalas notion of masculinity as guys that don’t look like prissy, appearance-fussed, fragile girls. If I can’t easily tell you’re not a woman then dress better or lift some weights and get some muscle! You’re gonna need it when the missus (or the boyfriend if you’re gay) wants you to lift things, carry things and rearrange the furniture anyway.

Reply

No not the Village People, like Wyatt Earp, John Watson, anyone who wears a cowboy hat… actually, it depends on the guy,(or bearded lady) if it works for them or not. Johnny Depp, no, Jack Black, Yes.

Reply

By the By, I’m a girl and I can move more funiture than my boyfriend. :*( oh sadness.
What would Wiglaf, Mordred or Az look like with a mustache or beard?

Reply

Unless you’re Canadian I’m not living in the right country to help you move furniture, sorry. If you are Canadian, uh, well, there’s at least a 50/50 chance I’m in the wrong province to help you move furniture anyway. :)
