Well, magic itself doesn’t mean continuity can get thrown out.

Magic + easily bored showoff (Camlann) means continuity’s probably been pretty lucky to stay as intact as it has. (Heck, he’d probably at least try to scratch causality if someone bet he couldn’t….)
