With the immortality and the broken feathery wings, my first thought was: genuine, fallen-angel-type demon. Then I remembered that he said he was from the 14th century, so now I’ve got no clue.
Late to the thread but all the Devils are fallen angels. So all those horrific depictions are of Demons or propaganda against the angelic Revolutionaries.
